36 Opt-ins, Zero Booked Calls

Full-account audit and funnel walk for Aftab Sabir. Window: account lifetime, 11 Sep to 21 Oct 2026 (today is a part day). Ranked by the money event (a booked call), not by lead cost.

Ads work, step 2 does not

The one-line answer

The ads are doing their job. The page after the opt-in is not. The account has spent $813 and collected 36 checklist opt-ins, but the pixel has recorded 0 booked calls. The new talking-head videos are bringing in opt-ins at about $20 each, with strong hook rates. The leak is what happens next: people sign up for a free checklist, land on a "book a call" page that never mentions the checklist, and see a calendar that only shows the next 4 days in afternoon slots. Also, about 9 in 10 clicks on the live campaign are junk from Audience Network, which makes the video CTRs look far better than they are.

Where it fell off

Opt-ins come in whenever the ads run on a conversion objective. Booked calls stay at zero every single week. The September Traffic campaign is the other big waste: $315 for 2,735 clicks and not one opt-in.

The funnel drop-off

The live talking-head campaign, 15 to 21 Oct. Two drops stand out: Audience Network clicks that are not real people, and the jump from opt-in to booked call.

The funnel, walked step by step

Every live ad points to one funnel: "Aftab Sabir, Call Booking Funnel" on GoHighLevel. I loaded each step on a phone-size screen. No test leads were submitted, and the booking and thank-you pages were checked from a copy with the pixel removed so no fake conversions were logged.

Step 1 · Opt-in
fairandsquare.ca/start
WORKS
Free checklist
1Loads in 0.4s. Headline "You're already carrying $670K in AI risk you can't see" matches the ads. Good.
2Button opens a pop-up: first name, email, phone (all required).
3Submit fires SubmitApplication, then redirects to /bookcall.
Leak: the credibility strip right under the hero reads "IN SALES CLOAI GOVERNANCE FRAMEWORKSED", a template leftover. For a governance expert selling to risk leaders, a visible typo this high up costs trust.
Ruled out: phone validation accepts real US and Canadian numbers, and the page link is healthy (200, no typo). Old Funnels.com testimonials and footer are still in the page code but hidden, so visitors don't see them.
Step 2 · Book a call
fairandsquare.ca/bookcall
THE LEAK
Free 30-min call
1New headline: "Most organizations have no idea what AI is running inside their business." VSL, then the calendar about one screen down. Three "Book my free AI Exposure Call" buttons.
2Calendar "AI Exposure Call", 30 minutes, then redirect to /thankyou.
Leak 1 · broken promise: the ad and opt-in page promise a checklist. This page never mentions the checklist. No "it's on its way to your inbox", no bridge. The visitor asked for a PDF and got a sales call.
Leak 2 · tight calendar: bookings only open 4 days ahead. On a Thursday or Friday a busy exec sees 1 or 2 working days. The calendar is set to Pacific time, not Calgary, and the first slot is 11:00 Mountain (1pm Eastern), so there are no morning slots for East Coast leaders.
Step 3 · Confirmed
fairandsquare.ca/thankyou
MINOR
Call prep
1"You're confirmed." Video from Aftab, five prep questions, what the call covers. Strong content.
2Fires the Schedule event on page load. This is what Meta counts as a booked call.
Leak: the logo at the top says "SHADOW AI", not Fair & Square. The two earlier pages use the Fair & Square badge, so the brand changes at the moment of commitment.
Ruled out: an old Funnels.com testimonial (Scott Weddell) is in the page code but hidden on phone and desktop.

Campaign scorecard

Every campaign that has spent, ranked by spend. Nothing has booked a call yet, so they are judged on opt-ins for now. With under 5 opt-ins per ad, ad-level calls are early signals, not proof.

$315 (39% of all spend) went to the Traffic campaign. Instagram Reels sent 2,637 clicks and not one opt-in. Traffic objectives buy cheap clickers, not buyers. It is already paused: keep it that way.

Who opts in: people aged 45 to 64 gave 16 of the 18 video opt-ins at about $17 each. Ages 30 to 44 cost $46 each. The US beats Canada ($18 vs $28 per opt-in), and the Facebook feed is the best placement ($10 per opt-in) against $46 on Instagram Reels.

Top 5 things to do now

Call and email the 36 people who already opted in

These are decision-makers who asked for an AI governance checklist and left a phone number. That is the fastest money in the account and it costs nothing. Aftab, or a setter, calls each one this week with a simple line: "You grabbed the checklist, want me to walk you through where your gaps are?" Also confirm in GoHighLevel that the checklist email actually sends and that a follow-up sequence nudges each lead to book over the next 7 days.

Effort LowImpact HighestTurns 36 leads into calls

Fix the booking page: deliver the checklist, then bridge to the call

Add a bar at the top of /bookcall: "Your checklist is on its way to your inbox." Then a bridge line: "Want help reading it? Book a free 30-minute AI Exposure Call." Same promise from ad to page to next step. Open the calendar to 14 days, set it to Calgary time (America/Edmonton), and add morning slots so East Coast leaders can book before lunch.

Effort LowImpact HighFixes 0% booking rate

Switch off Audience Network and aim at the people who convert

Audience Network sent 649 of 725 clicks and 1 opt-in. Turn it off on all six ad sets. Raise the minimum age from 30 to 40, since 45 to 64 gives almost every opt-in. This cleans the click data and stops Meta learning from bots and game players.

Effort LowImpact MediumCleans the signal

Consolidate the 6 small ad sets and bring back the $7 static

$50 a day split 6 ways is about $8 per ad set, around 3 opt-ins a week each. None of them can learn. Move to 1 ad set at $50 a day with the 5 best videos (pause S2 Navy Jacket) plus static V7 "Regulatory inevitability", which brought 18 opt-ins at $7 each in September. Let it run 7 days without edits.

Effort LowImpact MediumCould cut $20 to under $12

Clean up the trust leaks on the pages

Fix the "IN SALES CLOAI GOVERNANCE FRAMEWORKSED" line on the opt-in page (it should probably read "AI governance frameworks"). Swap the "SHADOW AI" logo on the thank-you page for the Fair & Square badge. Delete the hidden Funnels.com testimonials and footer from all three pages, since Meta's reviewers read the page code even when visitors don't.
